This month, the focus is on wildfire. Wildfires in California in the past 10 years have destroyed thousands of homes and burned millions of acres of forest, polluting the air we breathe and releasing harmful carbon dioxide into the earth’s atmosphere.
As a result of catastrophic wildfires, homeowners’ fire insurance is becoming prohibitively expensive, or unavailable. How could future local wildfires impact us and our neighborhoods? What can we do to make our homes and communities more fire safe?
The Climate Circle takes place the first Monday of the month from 12-1pm.
