Vote for Laura Patch for an at-large seat on the Walnut Creek City Council. As a dedicated climate activist working for the Sierra Club, she develops digital tools to empower activism and drive change.

Strong Community Leadership

Laura has extensive community and regional involvement and leadership experience. She is a member of the Walnut Creek Transportation Commission. She is the External Vice President of the Contra Costa Young Democrats. Laura also serves as Secretary for the Diablo Valley Democratic Club. Additionally, she is a Board member for the University of San Francisco’s Women in Leadership Program.

Climate Goals for the City

Laura plans to enhance Walnut Creek’s climate initiatives by collaborating with city committees. Her goals include:

  • Increasing clean energy production
  • Improving public transportation to reduce traffic
  • Preserving open spaces
  • Adding bike lanes, especially around downtown and to/from BART stations
  • Encouraging clean transportation and sustainable buildings
  • Increasing EV charging stations
  • Requiring electrification in new construction
  • Incentivizing solar and wind power installations for commercial and residential landlords

Laura Patch will bring strong leadership and fresh ideas to the council. She is committed to fostering environmental and community-focused policies.
