SUMMARY:Co-ord Team Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Co-ord Team (formerly the Leadership Team) meets on Zoom from 11 am to 12 noon on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. During these meetings\, team leaders and organizers share updates\, talk about campaigns\, and make decisions to advance our grassroots climate work in Contra Costa County. We also plan events\, vote on key matters\, and develop strategies to support our mission. Other benefits include:\n\nEnabling team members to share knowledge\, exchange ideas\, and increase coordination across various teams and campaigns—strengthening all ongoing projects.\nFostering shared understanding of our action work and our organizational health through financial updates and regular assessments of our effectiveness.\nRaising important issues\, introducing and coordinating new actions\, and receiving support from others.\n\n\nWe welcome new volunteers and encourage all active members to participate. SUMMARY:Legislative Team Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Legislative Team focuses on the Sacramento lawmakers who represent Contra Costa residents. We cultivate strong relationships with these state senators and assembly members so we can influence their votes on important legislation. And we get the word out to our fellow constituents when letters and phone calls are needed to convince lawmakers to vote the right way. \nWe meet on the fourth Thursday of the month to discuss the progress of California state bills that significantly impact Contra Costa County’s transition to a fossil-free\, environmentally just future. We recommend actions for 350 Contra Costa Action members and others  to gain legislators’ support for our positions. Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings. For newbies\, the meetings are a way to learn about the legislative process and our environmental policies. Contact the team leader for more information and the zoom link to the next meeting. \n
