DESCRIPTION:Update April 30\, 2025: We received notice this afternoon that the Congressman has had to cancel this event. \nFrom Congressman DeSaulnier: \nHere in California\, we’ve seen firsthand the disastrous effects of climate change from devastating wildfires to more extreme temperatures. Amid this climate crisis\, the Trump Administration’s policies have undermined the tools we have to address global warming\, including rolling back environmental protections and withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement. \nTo discuss the path forward and my efforts in Congress to fight back against the Administration’s dangerous actions\, I am hosting an outdoor Environmental Town Hall and Resource Fair this Saturday\, May 3rd in Oakley. \nStarting at 1:30 p.m.\, local agencies and organizations will share resources on their work to protect the environment. At 2:00 p.m.\, I will provide an update on my efforts to protect our planet\, and we will hear from several local agency leaders about the work being done at the local level.
