DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day in Pinole All Month Long\nThe City of Pinole will celebrate Earth Day throughout April\, offering various ways to take ACTION by learning different ways to implement climate action into our routine to protect the planet. \nPlanned activities align with the four sectors of Pinole’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan: \n\nWater\nWaste Reduction\nTransportation\nand Energy\n\nThe main community event is the Pinole Earth Walk. \nPinole Earth Walk\, Saturday\, April 19\nEach year for Earth Day\, Pinoleans take a walking pledge to protect the planet as a community. Meet your neighbors\, spend time with family\, get some fresh air\, and bring Fido for a walk! The walk is about 3 miles and begins and ends in Fernandez Park\, following a paved loop that goes along the Pinole Creek and Bay Trail. Snacks and refreshments will be provided at the finish line\, and there will be kids’ activities and local environmental organizations for you to connect with. The first 100 people to register win a stainless steel straw set!  \nFREE event. Registration is required. All are welcome.

DESCRIPTION:Come for the Earth Day 2025 Cleanup\nEarth Day 2025 cleanup is on April 19. Meet at 9:30 AM at El Sobrante Library\, 4191 Appian Way\, and select a location to clean up with other volunteers. Bring your own hat and water bottle. You can borrow equipment (grabbers\, gloves\, safety vests\, buckets\, bags\, etc.) or bring your own to help pick up litter. Return equipment by noon or so and enjoy the program and company of other volunteers afterwards. Volunteers always needed\, so please drop the Green Team an email. \nStay for the Celebration!\nAfter the cleanup\, join 350 Contra Costa Action at the Green Team 94803 Earth Day celebration at the library 11:45am-2pm. Music\, food\, face painting\, and lots of activities for the kids. And look for us at some of these other 2025 Earth Month events in Contra Costa County and beyond.
